Moroccan-Canadian artist El Mehdi, previously known as Mehdi Bahmad, is back with his debut single “EL KASS HLOU.” This energetic track breathes new life into a classic by Houcine Slaoui, a pioneer of Moroccan modern music, and fuses dance, pop, electro, classical, chaâbi, and amazigh influences. Sung in Darija, “EL KASS HLOU” features lush strings, catchy rhythms, and a laid-back vibe that captures El Mehdi’s multicultural background.
